Have a great Christmas holiday in Stockholm

Publish date: 31 August 2022

Enjoy your Christmas holidays in Stockholm with fun activities and wintery adventures for the whole family.

So the Christmas celebrations are over, the presents have been opened and the holiday food has run out. What now? Well, luckily there are plenty of things happening all around Stockholm, even after Santa has left. Due to the Swedish school children's Christmas break that lasts until the beginning of January, many of them are for the whole family as well.

Should the Christmas weather be cold and snowy, a day outside might be an option. Perhaps with a thermos of hot chocolate and some sledding, or blitzing down one of Stockholm's ski slopes? Another great winter experience is of course ice skating, which you can do on either one of Stockholm's ice skating rinks, or on natural ice with a professional guide. Check our guide on Ice skating in Stockholm for more tips. And if the cold weather suits you just fine, why not try out a winter swim? During this season amusement park Gröna Lund will open its new winter concept, Winter Wonderland, between December 2 and January 8

Below, you'll find a selection of activities, attractions, and events that all have something fun and exciting to offer during the Christmas holidays.
