A guide takes a small group of tourists through Gyllene salen (The Golden Hall) in Stockholm City hall. A relief of St. Erik, Stockholm’s patron saint, can be seen on the far wall behind the tour guide. Visit Stockholm is tasked with authorizing guides. The guides are all trained and certified, and together they speak 30 different languages, including sign language.

Experience Stockholm with a personal guide

Publish date: 13 March 2024

Wander the streets and narrow alleys of Gamla Stan (Old Town Stockholm), take a boat trip in the archipelago or learn more about trendsetting Södermalm. Experiencing Stockholm with a private guide is the perfect way to get a tailor-made tour just for you and in the language you prefer. Visit Stockholm and the City of Stockholm also cooperates with the Travel Education Centre to educate new private guides and has a hand in authorizing new guides.

All tourist guides in the linked lists are authorized by the City of Stockholm.
