Pizza and beer; a timeless combo. Here are the Stockholm restaurants that take the beloved Italian staple to the next level.

Who could say 'no' to an excellent pizza, baked with love and passion? The Italian classic is a major part of any city's restaurant fauna, and Stockholm is no exception.

The beloved pie has gone from everyday food to fine dining and trendsetter to staple food again. A couple of times over. In other words, there's always a time and place for pizza.

  • Babette – Cozy bistro that was instrumental in the pizza renaissance of the 2010s'. The restaurant is something of a chef's favorite and has a selection of snacks and handpicked wines.
  • Bistro Bananas – Popular and lively restaurant and bar on Södermalm. Has something for everyone on its menu, but the pizzas are most definitely the main event. Has a sister restaurant in central Stockholm, Bistro Leoparden.
  • Bitza – A Palestinian restaurant in the neighborhood of Hornstull that serves inventive and unique pizzas. Expect toppings and spices like sumac, hummus, tahini and makdous.
  • Meno Male – Meno Male can be found in several locations around central Stockholm. The first opened in 2016, in Vasastan, and still bakes fluffy and crispy pizzas from Tipo-00 flour in a pizza oven that's been shipped from Italy to Sweden.
  • Omnipollos Hatt – Inventive craft brewery that serves unique pizzas in its hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Expect toppings like kimchi, dades, and peach marinated in vanilla syrup.
  • La Piccola Nonna – Originally a food bike that nowadays has a permanent address on Blekingegatan. Classic Neapolitan pies but with a vegan-friendly twist; all pizzas are vegetarian and can be ordered with dairy/egg-free options.
