When the sun is shining and the temperature rises, there's no better way to enjoy a Swedish fika than sipping your coffee surrounded by green nature. These garden cafés will take your mind off the hectic city life.

  • Äppelfabriken – Sweden's oldest Apple orchard and cider factory is located on Färingsö in Lake Mälaren. Enjoy a coffee in the café, buy crafts or locally produced veggies and fruits, or bring apples from your garden to make your cider.
  • Hemma hos Annika – Café and restaurant in Ängby Palace, a 17th-century seat farm just north of Stockholm. Easily reached, the café is just a short walk from Islandstorget Metro station.
  • Kanaans Trädgårdscafé – Garden café in northern Stockholm located near the Grimsta nature reserve. Lunch and fika are served all year round and the café is just a short walk from the popular Kanaanbadet public beach.
  • Slottsträdgården Ulriksdal – Garden cáfe and market garden near Ulriksdals palace in Solna. Enjoy a locally sourced lunch or fika, and find beautiful plants and handy tools for your garden.
  • Bergianska gamla orageriet – Bergius Botanic Garden's orangery, ideally situated on Brunnsviken near the lakeside. Marvel at the garden's beautiful greenery and enjoy a locally sourced snack.

  • Enskedeparkens Bageri – Bakery and café in southern Stockholm, just next to Enskede's historical allotment gardens. Serves coffee, fika, and lighter lunch.
  • Hellasgården – Located by the small Källtorp Lake in Southern Stockholm, Hellasgården is an outdoor facility with a café and restaurant in the Nacka Nature Reserve. Enjoy a fika or lunch in the outdoor serving area, or fill up on snacks for your forest hike.
  • Zetas – A well-known destination for Stockholm's garden owners, Zetas has been around since 1927. First, as founder Gösta Zetterqvist's private oriental-styled garden, and later as a garden center with a café.
  • Konditori Lyran – Café and pastry shop in southern Stockholm, famous for its classic räckmacka (shrimp sandwich) and afternoon tea servings.
  • Vintervikens Trädgård – Organic café and restaurant next to the allotment gardens in Vinterviken. Although perfect for a spring or summer snack, surrounded by lush trees and plants, the café is open all year round.
