Don't let a rainy day in Stockholm go to waste! Here are some things to do indoors.
Grey clouds amassing on the horizon? Great! Stockholm has its fair share of rainy days, and there are many excellent activities if you feel ill-prepared to spend a rainy day outdoors.
Naturally, a visit to one of Stockholm's museums is a great way to escape the rain. Read our guide on current exhibitions to see what would interest you the most. If you're looking for more adventurous activities, an indoor aqua park or swimming pool like Eriksdalsbadet or Husbybadet might be more to your liking. If you'd prefer not to get wet altogether, there's indoor-miniature golf at Golfbaren by Swing, indoor-petanque at Boulebar Rådhuset, or Klätterverket's indoor climbing track at your disposal.
There are of course digital forms of entertainment to choose from as well. VREX and Stockholm VR Center offer a variety of immersive Virtual Reality games, while gaming halls like Space and Inferno Online have customized gaming rigs waiting for the next player to join. And if you prefer analog entertainment, for example, a good book to lose yourself in, might we suggest a visit to one of Stockholm's libraries? Besides being majestic repositories of knowledge, buildings like The Royal Library and The Stockholm Public Library are as famous for their splendid architecture.
