Guide to Midsommarkransen

Midsommarkransen was built in the early years’ of the 20th century, to house for workers at AB Tellus's brick factory. Later, when Ericsson moved their main offices and factory to the area, the suburb grew to meet the demands of the telecom giant.
Ericsson left Midsommarkransen in 2000, and since then it has become something of an extension to Södermalm. Midsommarkransen's close proximity to Stockholm’s trendiest district (either two stops with the metro’s red line or a short 15-minute walk to Hornstull) has made apartments in the suburb a highly sought-after commodity. And you’ll find the same relaxed and laid back vibe as in SoFo, with a vintage boutique, niche design shop or great café at almost every corner in the neighborhood.
