Slow Fashion District – second hand and vintage in Stockholm

Publish date: 16 April 2026

Stockholm’s Slow Fashion District has become a natural starting point for anyone interested in second hand, vintage, and more conscious shopping. Centered around Hornsgatan and Mariatorget in Södermalm, the area brings together around 20 independent shops within a short walking distance, forming a walkable route that stretches roughly 3 kilometers between Slussen and Zinkensdamm.

A growing hub for slow fashion

Stockholm has long been a leading city for Scandinavian design, and the Slow Fashion District initiative was shaped by local entrepreneurs and shop owners working for a shift towards more circular ways of shopping thorugh second hand and vintage.

Today, the district brings together independent stores, designers, and smaller makers, all with a shared focus on reuse, repair, and more conscious production. Alongside the shops, you’ll also find pop-ups, collaborations, and services such as clothing repair and rental.
