Akkurat is a well-known name among beer aficionados, not only in Sweden but internationally as well. The bar on Hornsgatan pops up regularly on lists and rankings of the world&#x27;s best beer bars. Akkurat has a rotating selection of 28 brews on tap and a large cellar of vintage beer, with over 500 bottles of aged beer.

Bar Ninja

Bar Ninja is an intimate hole-in-the-wall bar in Södermalm. You&#x27;ll find a small menu of mid-size dishes, snacks, and, more importantly, lots of delicious wines. Wine importer Niklas Jakobson runs Ninja and focuses especially on natural wines, with a wide selection to choose from.

Down at the waterfront, called Hornstull Strand, you find Debaser - a legendary concert and club venue. Enjoy a concert or go dancing almost every day of the week. Under the same roof is also the Italian restaurant Capricci and Bar Brooklyn which serves American beer and classic American dishes.

Dryck

Cozy Dryck is located on Swedenborgsgatan in the bustling neighborhoods around Mariatorget. The wine list is extensive, with bottles from both famous districts and up-and-coming producers, and is complimented by a selection of snacks, small dishes, and Liba-bread pizza. Dryck also hosts regular wine tastings that are bookable through their web page.

Folkbaren is adjacent to Folkoperan and the theatrical and musical influences are unmistakable. A pleasant, classic local bar on Hornsgatan on Södermalm that will appeal to most.

Forma opened in 2023, and is a bistro mixing typical French dishes and cookery with Asian flavors and spices. The restaurant, located in Hornstull on Södermalm, also runs a bar open until 03 in the morning.

Hernö Gin Bar

Award-winning Hernö Gin became Sweden&#x27;s first gin distillery in 2011, and in 2021 the company opened a bar at Södermalm in Stockholm. Focusing unsurprisingly on gin drinks and cocktails, both classics and new creations, the bar also has a light menu with snacks and smaller dishes.

Hornhuset is a hip, trendy and popular venue with restaurants, bars and clubs on three floors, plus a rooftop patio that is open in summer. Each floor has its own theme and the atmosphere is usually exuberant in the popular premises in Hornstull, Södermalm. On weekends, be smart and arrive early to beat the lines.

Legendary restaurant, bar, and waterhole with a century’s history, in the old blue-collar district of Södermalm. Enjoy well-made, classic Swedish fare in a beautiful setting, with high ceilings and plenty of patina. Kvarnen is also featured in Stieg Larsson&#x27;s Millennium-books as the meeting place for Lisbeth Salander and her bandmates in the rock band Evil Fingers.

A spacious, elegant lounge on the ground floor of Scandic Malmen. The modern style suits all occasions and the central location by Medborgarplatsen on Södermalm is a good place to meet friends for a drink. Live music and DJs several nights a week. Mostly jazz.

Mikkeller is an award-winning craft brewery and chain of bars, founded in Copenhagen in 2006. Besides an exciting selection of ales, IPA, lager, and other beers, Mikkeller has a small selection of snacks like a deli platter of cold cuts and Danish smørrebrød sandwiches.

Morfar Ginko

Morfar Ginko is one of Stockholm’s most popular bars. It’s a place for mingling, hanging out, or even playing a game of ping-pong. The DJ works from a loft above the bar, which makes the place feel roomy. There’s a courtyard open in the summer and a great bar done up entirely in white downstairs.

Münchenbryggeriet Beer Garden is a summer bar on Södermalm, with a view of the waters of central Stockholm. The menu mixes global street food served at their food court and beer brewed on-site in the over hundred-year-old brewery.

This award-winning brewery and bar is the place to go when you´re up for trying interesting beers with a tasty slice of pizza. Each new week brings new beer, ale, and stouts to the taps and new toppings for the pizzas.

Pang Pang Brunch

Microbrewery Pang Pang, with its innovative and flavorful brews, was one of the first to establish itself during the Swedish beer boom of the 2010s. Besides the brewery and a summer open taproom, Pang Pang runs a restaurant and bar at Hornstull on Södermalm. Here you&#x27;ll find a selection of beers, ales, and stouts on tap and a menu of snacks and entrees. Early customers during the weekends will also find a hearty brunch menu to start the day with.

This old prison is a place to escape to, rather than from. Whether you&#x27;re looking for a nice meal or to party like a prisoner, with three bars and an interesting Stockholm crowd, this is the place for a night out. Häktet is also one of few bars on Södermalm that closes at 3 am.

Riche Fenix is the newborn sibling of Riche, an over-century-old fixture in the Stockholm nightlife in the swanky Östermalm district. This new venue promises &quot;uncomplicated and thoughtful&quot; food made from the finest ingredients – yet with complex flavours! Located in the middle of the hip Södermalm neighbourhood, the brazen bar states it &quot;will stand out like a pink full moon&quot; with the confidence that only generational experience can provide.

The relaxed feel of Rosetta&#x27;s is akin to that of a retro dive bar in Los Angeles (or a Swedish summer cottage, depending on whom you ask). In the hip Hornstull area, the restaurant has become appreciated not only thanks to the atmosphere, but from the successful marriage between comfort-foods and plant/seafood ingredients. Here, golden oldies like mac&#x27;n cheese and hamburgers get new, fresh makeovers appealing to meat lovers and vegetarians alike. And, in keeping with the theme, you can order great cocktails to accompany your meal, too!

For gays, the Side Track bar has long been the natural watering hole on Södermalm. Many people see the place as an old, reliable friend because of its intimate atmosphere, pleasant staff, and good, inexpensive food. The DJ plays a mix of pop and old hits.

Söders hjärta

Söders hjärta is a small and cozy restaurant and bar just off Hornsgatan. Serving both lunch and dinner, the food is a mix of classic dishes and Swedish favorites. Hjärtat, as the locals lovingly refer to it, also hosts regular music quizzes every Tuesday.

Södra Teatern is one of the oldest and most mythical entertainment venues in Stockholm. It houses a theater, live music, several clubs, food, and drink – all under the same roof. Stadsgårdsterminalen opened in early 2023 and is a venue and space for art, music, nightclubs, and events. It also features a bar, rooftop terrace, and the live stage Kollektivet Livet. Stadsgårdsterminalen is located near Slussen in what is a former ferry terminal.

Tjoget is an interesting combination of restaurant, wine bar, and beer café. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and a vibrant bar that has quickly become popular among the residents of Hornstull in Södermalm. Order a perfectly composed cocktail or take your pick among the carefully selected beers or vines. The bar has been named one of the best in the world more than once.

Trädgården

Trädgården is an ultra-popular outdoor club located under the Skanstull Bridge in Södermalm. If you&#x27;re craving an authentic festival feel, this is where you should spend your late hours. Here, you can drink beer from plastic cups, dance, watch live performances and play table tennis or pétanque. Arrive early to avoid long lines. Trädgården is open during the summer season only, but its indoor venue Under Bron is an all-year-round affair.
