Adam/Albin received its first Michelin star in 2022.

Well-known chefs Adam Dahlberg and Albin Wessman offer a five-course tasting menu from which you get to choose the courses after the initial snacks. The food concept is based on simplicity and sustainability, with the dinner experience front and center. The dishes are prepared in an open kitchen and the menu also includes elements of house-made charcuterie. The chef duo aims to provide a vivid, intimate and easily accessible experience in this bright and carefully considered restaurant, where a few spaces are always available for drop-ins and cannot be reserved in advance.

Hyped European bistro Bar Central re-opened in October 2023, at their new Södermalm location. The menu has stayed the same though. Hearthy dishes from central Europe, like Hungarian Pörkölt, Polish pierogi, and Austrian apfelstrudel.

In 2018, Frantzén became the first restaurant in Stockholm to gain three stars in Guide Michelin.

In 2016, renowned chef Björn Frantzén moved his luxurious restaurant from Gamla Stan to Klara Norra Kyrkogata in downtown Stockholm for a new and unique dining experience. The restaurant is located in a renovated 19th-century townhouse, where 23 guests change rooms and floors as they work their way through the fixed fine dining menu.

Award-winning chef Klas Lindberg offers a food experience with loads of heart and culinary joy – Portal is a familiar and casual restaurant with high ambitions. The menu combines French and Nordic cuisines and features ingredients from all over Sweden. The pleasantly unpretentious light wood decor creates a cozy atmosphere.

Mat på Restaurang AG

AG is the chemical symbol for silver and the name stems from the fact that this trendy and popular industrial-chic restaurant on Kungsholmen is set in an old silver factory. Despite its somewhat off-beat location and the fierce competition, AG immediately became a meeting place that attracted ’everyone’ and a major topic of conversation when it opened its doors in 2011. Specialising in meat, which is tenderized on site in a large fridge that can be inspected as you take your seats.

Restaurang Oxenstiernan

Almost hidden away in a park (a mere stone&#x27;s throw from <a id="976" linktype="page">the Swedish History Museum</a>), Restaurang Oxenstiernan can be found inside an exquisite 17th-century mansion. Head chef Elvira Lindqvist presents an ever-changing menu where the words quality, sustainability and locally produced are the sole constants. Design is also important, with a host of prominent Swedish designers contributing to an elegant yet simple dining experience. As owner (and silversmith) Sebastian Schildt puts it: &quot;Imagine a restaurant with red-and-white checkered tablecloths – but it&#x27;s the best tablecloths there are!&quot;

Tak (&quot;roof&quot; in Swedish) is located, quite literally, in the heart of the city just a short walk from Sergels Torg. It&#x27;s a restaurant, a raw bar, and a rooftop bar all rolled up into one. The menu mixes Japanese techniques and Swedish ingredients with a breathtaking view of central Stockholm.

The beautiful space of Fotografiskas restaurant looks almost like an attic or a loft with large visible beams. Large windows show an evening view over Stockholm.

Combine a visit to one of Stockholm&#x27;s most popular museums, Fotografiska, with a dinner at its award-winning restaurant. The vegetarian menu at Restaurangen puts in-season and locally produced vegetables front-row-and-center with added flavors from the animal kingdom. All dishes on the menu are available without meat or fish, so be sure to let your waiter know if you&#x27;re vegan or vegetarian. The restaurant works hard to be a zero-waste restaurant and received Guide Michelin&#x27;s sustainability certificate in 2020.

The bright, spacious restaurant at Grand Hotels veranda, huge windows let in the days light and overlook the boats heading for the Archipelago. Square tables with white tablecloths and royal blue chairs add to the elegant look.

Cosmopolitan, elegant and classic. The Grand Hotel veranda is an international rendezvous that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner 365 days a year. The Veranda is also one of the few restaurants in Stockholm that offer a genuine Swedish smörgåsbord for most of the year. A beautiful view over the water and Gamla Stan is a bonus.

Tyge &amp; Sessil, celebrity chef Niklas Ekstedt&#x27;s wine café, is all about the underdogs. The wine list consists of natural wines from independent small-scale producers, mainly from areas beyond the famous regions, and made from lesser-known grapes. Don&#x27;t worry if you&#x27;re hungry though; there’s also a small menu of simple, fresh dishes and snacks to go with your drink of choice.

The trendy interior at restaurant Wood Wood, high chairs in mild colours are lined up along long communal tables and the bar counter. Light fixtures in origami-style design hang here and there, natural light from a large window is making the room bright.

Furniture store, food bar and bistro in one. Woodstockholm offers a themed menu that that changes regularly, focusing on organically produced food and wine. Small, crowded and very popular. Book in advance or hope for a seat at the bar.
