Long summer days that turn into comfortably cool summer nights should be used well, and Stockholmers know how to. When the weather is at its best, with warm days and balmy evenings, there's nothing like dancing in the night with a cool drink in your hand.
Most restaurants and bars open their open-air areas in early May and begin summer programming in May-June. Some, like Berns, Debaser, and Riche are open all year, with an open-air area with DJs and live performances. Others, like Trädgården and Stockholm under Stjärnonrna, are seasonal party hotspots, open only during summer.

- F12 Terassen – Classic summer club, centrally located by the Academy of Fine Arts. Open all summer long, with club parties seven days a week.
- Mosebacketerassen – Arguably Stockholm's most classic outdoor serving area. Great view over Slussen and Old Town, and a calendar full of concerts and clubs both indoors and outdoors.
- Stadsgårdsterminalen – Ferry terminal turned exhibition hall, concert venue, and bar. The terrace bar opens in May and is a place for DJ-gigs and concerts.
- Stockholm under Stjärnorna – Centrally located rooftop bar with a panoramic view of Stockholm. Open during summer with club parties, filmed screenings, and more.
- Trädgården – Tucked away under the over pass of Skanstullsbron you'll find Södermalm's most popular summer club. Open May-September with concerts, day-parties, pub quizzes, and more.
