Guided bus tours are the classic way of taking in the sights. And why not? A bus is a relaxing way of getting around Stockholm comfortably while your guide talks you through the highlights.
Stockholm currently has three major bus tour operators. Strömma and Red Sightseeing both offer "Hop on, Hop off"-tours. In other words, visitors join the tour for as long as they like and can choose to disembark from the bus at any of its stops. Ocean Bus, on the other hand, has a set route for their amphibian bus tours. The tour lasts about 60 minutes and you'll see the central parts of town both from land and the water.
