Almost hidden away in a park (a mere stone's throw from the Swedish History Museum), Restaurang Oxenstiernan can be found inside an exquisite 17th-century mansion.
In 2025, Restaurang Oxenstiernan reopened in a new format, introducing three distinct concepts – from sunny garden dishes to a classic bistro and a modern fine dining experience.
Silversmith and restaurateur Sebastian Schildt has teamed up with star chef Viktor Westerlind to bring this new vision for Restaurang Oxenstiernan ROX to life. First to open is Jardin – a relaxed garden restaurant set beneath 18th-century lindens. The menu is inspired by Provence, but the geographical theme changes each year. The restaurant seats 50 guests, and bar seating is always available for walk-ins wanting a small bite or just a drink.
In 2025, the Michelin Guide awarded the restaurant a Green Star – an honour given to kitchens that stand out for their sustainable practices, including using responsible suppliers, reducing food waste, and minimizing their carbon footprint.
