Your Stockholm Card gives you free admission to these 80 museums and attractions in Stockholm and the surrounding region. The card is valid once per attraction.
With the Stockholm Card, you are entitled to an unlimited number of free trips on Stockholm Public Transport (SL). Take the subway, bus, commuter train, or tram all over Stockholm County. Schedules are available at all SL centers and online. The Stockholm Card does not work in the subway’s automatic turnstiles; you must show the card to the ticket collector or bus driver at the beginning of your journey. Where can I buy the Stockholm Card?
The Stockholm Card is for sale online and at Stockholm Tourist Center on Vasagatan 14 as well as at about 100 locations in and around Stockholm. What is the price of the Stockholm Card?
Adult cards are SEK 495 for 24 hours, 650 for 48 hours, SEK 795 for 72 hours and SEK 1050 for 120 hours. Child cards (for children between 7 and 17 years) are SEK 225 for 24 hours, SEK 265 for 48 hours, SEK 295 for 72 hours and SEK 325 for 120 hours. Please note: Child cards must be bought and used together with Adult cards. See further information about the use of Child cards below. Can I buy the Stockholm Card Online?
Yes- the Stockholm Card can be purchased from this web shop. You can choose to have the cards delivered, please allow 7 - 10 days for delivery outside of Sweden. If you rather prefer to collect the cards upon your arrival in Stockholm you need to print the voucher and exchange it at Stockholm Tourist Center, Vasagatan 14 (opposite the Central Station) or Arlanda Visitors Center (Terminal 5, 4 or 2). How does it work?
The card is valid from the first time it is used – and then valid for the amount of hours purchased. Show the Stockholm Card at the admission desks in the museums/attractions, and at the ticket lines or to the bus driver when you use public transport. The card will be stamped with date and time on first use. It is possible to enter a museum/attraction until the validity period is over. When using public transport the card must be valid for the whole duration of your journey. Are the Vasamuseum, Skansen and the Royal Palace included in the Stockholm Card?
Yes, the Vasamuseet, Skansen and the Royal Palace are all included in the Stockholm Card. Is Gröna Lund included in the Stockholm Card?
Yes, the Stockholm Card gives you free admission to Gröna Lund with the exception of certain concert nights when the price is increased after 6pm. The cardholder pays the difference. Are bus and boat sightseeing tours included in the Stockholm Card?
Besides free sightseeing by bike the Stockholm Card also includes free boat sightseeing on the Royal Canal Tour or the Historical Canal Tour. Stockholm Card holders are also entitled to a discount on the bus sightseeing tours Stockholm Panorama and Open Top Tours as well as on the tour Boat to Drottningholm and Boat to Sigtuna & Skokloster. Is the ferry to Djurgården included in the Stockholm Card?
No, the ferry is not included in the Stockholm Card. But the tram which takes you all the way from Sergels torg to Djurgården is included. Is public transportation with Stockholms Lokaltrafik (SL) included in the Stockholm Card?
Yes, the public transportation in Stockholm includes buses, subway, commuter train and tram all over the Stockholm County and is included in the Stockholm Card. Please note: the card can not be used on the Bro-Bålsta route in the commuter train lines. How much does it cost to visit Stockholm’s museums and attractions?
The Stockholm Card entitles the holder to free entrance to all the most popular museums and attractions. Most of these have a regular entrance fee of SEK 80-150 per museum. Is transportation to the airports of Arlanda, Skavsta, Bromma, and Västerås included in the Stockholm Card?
To Arlanda- Yes, you can take the SL commuter train to Arlanda. The train station at the airport will be located under SkyCity, with direct access to all terminals. The train ride is included in the card but here will be a 75SEK passage charge to enter and depart the airport train station. The passage charge ticket can be bought upon arrival at the airport if it has not been bought beforehand. Visitors arriving in Arlanda Airport can buy tickets for the commuter train at special ticket counters by the train station. Cash and credit cards are accepted. The charge is only for passengers over the age of 18. The train ride will take just under 40 minutes and the trains will depart two times an hour.
To Bromma Airport you can take the subway to Alvik or Brommaplan and then a bus to the airport.
However, neither Flygbussarna Airport Coaches nor the Arlanda Express is covered by the Stockholm Card. Since the airports in Västerås and Skavsta are not in Stockholm County, they are not covered by the Stockholm Card. Airport buses operate on these routes. How many museums would I have to visit to make the Stockholm Card pay for itself?
If you visit two museums, use bus or metro and take a boat sightseeing tour, for example, the card has already paid for itself. Is the Stockholm Card valid for consecutive days?
Yes. If you start a 72 hours card on Tuesday at noon, it will be valid until Friday at noon. Is it possible to visit a museum more than once with the Stockholm Card?
No, the Stockholm Card is only valid once per museum/attraction. I am travelling with children – what about children’s cards?
Three children under 6 years of age are entitled to accompany an adult holder of a Stockholm Card for free. A separate child card is available for children and youth between 6 and 17 years of age. A maximum of 3 child cards may be purchased per adult card. If the total number of children (regardless of age) per adult card exceeds three, the purchase of separate tickets for local transportation and attractions for these “extra” children is required. Please note: At Junibacken, only one child between 2 and 6 years of age is entitled to free admission. Teenagers or children under 18 can not purchase or use a child card without the company of an adult card holder. Are discounts available for students/seniors/families?
No. All holders of the Stockholm Card pay the same price and receive the same wonderful benefits. What is the difference between the Stockholm Card and SL Public Transport cards?
The Stockholm Card entitles the card holder to free admission to 80 museums and attractions and free transportation on local transportation, free boat sightseeing, and numerous special offers. Cards are available for 24, 48, 72 and 120 hours. SL Public Transport cards are available for one, three, seven and 30 days and can be used on SL transportation, the Djurgården Ferry from Slussen, and the tram to Djurgården. Which languages are included in the Stockholm Card folder?
