Vinterpalatset, Gyllene Göken, Rita, Nya Rita, and finally Zita. The movie theater on Birger Jarlsgatan 37 has been known by many names. First opened in 1913, Zita is Stockholm's oldest movie theater still in operation. During the course of its history, it's been a silent movie theater, a part of the once-mighty RI-movie empire, and an adult movie theater. Today it primarily offers a program of independent and world cinema, and once every year it screens Swedish classics with English subtitles. Zita also houses Bongo Bar, where you can grab a drink or meal before or after your movie.
