Vinterpalatset, Gyllene Göken, Rita, Nya Rita, and finally Zita. The movie theater on Birger Jarlsgatan 37 has had many names during its lifetime. First opened in 1913, Zita is Stockholm's oldest movie theater still in operation. During the course of its history, it's been a silent movie theater, a part of the once-mighty RI-movie empire, and an adult movie theater. Today it primarily offers a program of independent and world cinema, and once every year screens Swedish classics with English subtitles. You'll also find Bongo Bar here where you can grab a drink or meal before or after your movie.
