Cirkus

Visit Stockholm

Cirkus on the island of Djurgården was built in 1892, as a permanent venue for travelling cirkus troupes visiting Stockholm. The popularity of cirkus shows might have declined since then, but Cirkus has evolved and the grandiose building is a beloved arena for concerts, musicals, stage productions and other events. Since 1983 Cirkus has been designated as an listed building, and 2015 saw the opening of it's modern annex Skandiascenen.
