For 140 years, between 1635 and 1775, Wira Bruk was Sweden's most important smithy supplying the Swedish army with sharp blades. As time went on the smithy pivoted its production to farm tool, like axes and scythes, until it closed down in the 1960's. Today, Wira Bruk is a museum where visitors can get a glimpse of it's storied production and learn more about the lives of the people that lived and died here.
