Roslagsleden

Fanny Hornwall/Visit Roslagen

Roslagsleden offers hiking trails through deep forests and coastal landscapes, with several cultural sights sprinkled along the way. The 190-kilometer-long trail starts in Danderyd just north of Stockholm city and passes by places like Domarudden, Norrtälje, and Roslagsbro before ending in Grisslehamn.

The hiking trail is divided into 11 sections with plenty of swimming opportunities. The overnight stay options are many: choose between shelters, campsites, cabins, or hotels.

Three places not to miss along the way are Angarnssjöängen (Section 2) which is one of the county’s finest locations for birdwatching, the idyllic red cottages at the historical environment Wira Bruk (Sections 5 and 6), and the artist and author Albert Engström’s studio (Section 11), overlooking the Sea of Åland.
