WALTER BERGE & H. C. FELL – guest performance at Turteatern

Walter Berge and H. C. Fell present a concert in two acts with shadow play and strings. In the late nineteenth century, ideas of the spirit world’s presence in everyday life circulated widely: spiritualism, and the aestheticisation of a society in decline. Byron wrote about vampires, Baudelaire popularised the concept of decadence, and Oscar Wilde argued that art could say nothing other than that it was beautiful. They wallow in clichés from times gone by and create music for subjectivity.
