My Pink Mind

In My Pink Mind—their debut exhibition—Blomman Rönnblom draws upon Swedish slöjd and craft traditions, as well as leftist slogans and anti-fascist rallying chants. Through embroidered wall hangings and domestic crafts, the traditional and gender-conservative imagery of old Sweden collides with the very ideologies seeking to overthrow it. Blomman Rönnblom’s artistic practice is characterized by humor, silliness, everyday materials, anarchy, and queer internet culture.
