Madeleine Åstrand – Reflections

Madeleine Åstrand’s mainly abstract motifs find their inspiration in different areas of knowledge – scientific processes, geometry, poetry, philosophy, and psychology – which she seeks connections between and aims to unite in her art. Her images often seek out border experiences, the uncertain field between what can be clearly stated and what remains hidden, what is the reality of everyday life and what we can only sometimes sense.
