Sweden is going through an epidemic of shootings, but the debate mainly revolves around harsher penalties and evictions. The ones at greatest risk of being murdered are young, racialized boys—whether they are victims or perpetrators. The public sees them as anonymous figures in tough poses, demonized and dehumanized.
