Cartoon-drawing Workshop with Ylva Westerlund

The artist Ylva Westerlund hosts a workshop in cartooning where you learn to draw environments, figures, use text and try out different cartooning styles. Based on Oscar Lara's exhibition Mining Life and cartoonist Jesús Cossio, we examine how the comic style can be used to retell or invent stories.

Ylva Westerlund is educated at Malmö School of Art and now lives in Tensta. She has previously shown work at Tensta Art Gallery in the exhibitions Den New Hjorden 2017, and Phantoms of the Commons, 2021.
