Mälarö Golf Club is located on the island of Ekerö, 30 kilometers from Stockholm city. They offer a 9-hole course that is playable all year round, and an 18-hole course that is open from April to November.
The 18-hole course was inaugurated in 1994 and it’s a classic links course with a few water hazards, many bunkers, and fasts greens. Number 17, which is the golf club’s signature hole, has been voted one of Sweden’s 100 best holes by the magazine Svensk Golf.
In 2003, Mälarö GK got another 9 holes, that course is a little narrower with more water hazards.
A good drive from Mälarö GK you’ll find Skytteholm, a beautiful hotel and conference facility. Here, you can end the day with a sauna, a barbeque dinner, or spend the night. Guests staying at Skytteholm can also borrow golf clubs and balls for free.
