Lökholmen

Lökholmen is a small island of breathtaking beauty, just north of Sandön, with one imposing feature; a 20th-century fortification with canons overlooking the guest harbor. Built by coal magnate Kurt Heinecke, the fortification and its adjacent mansion today serve as the clubhouse for the Royal Swedish Yacht Club and as a hostel for members and non-members alike. Lökholmen can be reached by taxi boat from Sandhamn.
