Jiasi Maciel went from being a basketball player and ethnology student to working with culture. Both in an administrative capacity as an administrator at Stockholm's City Arts Council and his current work as executive producer at Stadsteatern in Vällingby. But also as part of the culture scene himself; he loves spinning wax from around the globe under the alias Jasses Brasse Kasse. Being a sixth-generation Södermalm native his favorite place in Stockholm is Mosebacke square. "It's a quiet place where nobody is trying to sell you anything. Close to the city's beating heart, yet still apart".

The park Lilla Blecktornsparken is home to this hidden little gem, where hipster Södermalm meets families with children and couples on dates. Situated right by the park, the lush outdoor seating area becomes a glorious oasis in summer. Those who prefer to sit inside will be well-taken care of in the new, lush, glass room with a stove. The menu is focused on smaller dishes to share. Bleck also serves brunch on weekends.

You&#x27;ll also find Reggev at a second location on Döbelnsgatan 51 in central Stockholm.

Reggev Hummus on Ringvägen is all about the delicious dip made from chickpeas and beans. Although having a few meat dishes, a large part of the Middle Eastern menu can be enjoyed by vegetarians and vegans alike.

At Svartengrens they love meat, but they&#x27;re not in love with the meat industry. That&#x27;s why you&#x27;ll only get served locally produced cuts from the Stockholm archipelago that have been smoked, brined, and hung by Svartengren&#x27;s team of chefs. Served with a side of seasonal vegetables, of course. The menu changes often, some dishes even daily. The restaurant is located in a former pharmacy and the bar is also worth a visit, with its hand-cut ice and unusual cocktails.

The old orangery is located in the Bergius Botanic Garden, ideally situated on Brunnsviken near the seaside. Visit for the relaxed atmosphere, the bakery, a great bread buffet– and of course, to see the beautiful old greenhouse.

A botanical garden beautifully situated at lake Brunnsviken. A paradise for plant-enthusiasts with thousands of trees, shrubs, and herbs from around the world. The famous Victoria House has the world’s largest water lily. Exotic plants thrive in the Victoria House and Edvard Anderson Conservatory. Café, shop, and restaurant. The outdoor parts of the garden are admission free.

Bergius Botanic Garden

The park areas around Brunnsviken lake are part of Nationalstadsparken, the National City Park. They’re popular for picnics, swimming, and recreation.The area features a beautiful rolling park setting, a botanical garden, cafes, palaces and several buildings of historic interest. Haga Park, on the western shore, was laid out between 1771 and 1793 on the initiative of Gustav III. The park has promenade streets along the shores and beautiful avenues. Many buildings of historic interest are located here: Gustav III’s pavilion, the Copper Tents, Haga Castle and the Butterfly House Haga Ocean. The Haga Park is one of the leading examples of English parks in Sweden. As its name implies, Bellevueparken on the southern shore is situated high above the parks and Brunnsviken lake, with a view over these features. The studio and museum of the sculptor Carl Eldh are also located here. Attractions on the eastern shore include the Bergius Botanic Garden and several boat clubs, as well as the Swedish Museum of Natural History.

Visit the unique wooden building from 1919 and enjoy a sheltering environment with a panoramic view of Brunnsviken and the Haga Park. Carl Eldh&#x27;s Studio Museum houses several hundred sculptures by one of Sweden&#x27;s most prominent sculptors. Also temporary exhibitions. Carl Eldh&#x27;s Studio Museum is mainly open during summertime and offers guided tours in English once a day.
