War on Art – when cultural heritage becomes a front line

The documentary film War on Art depicts one of the least visible but most crucial fronts of the war: the struggle to save Ukraine's art and cultural heritage from destruction, looting, and annihilation. Before the screening, we will meet the film's director andrzej miękus in conversation with Helene rånlund, former director of the Swedish National Museums of Military History, about the role of cultural heritage in times of war and its significance for memory, identity, and the future.
