This summer, the City Museum is giving both family tours and regular tours of the Blockmaker's House. In 1917, blockmaker Gustav Andersson, his wife Katarina and their adult sons live in the house at Stigbergsgatan 21. The farmhouse is rented by Emilia Gustavsson, a widow with five children. The house has been restored to how it looked then. Here we show what life in Stockholm could have been like at the beginning of the 20th century when the housing shortage was severe.
