The Sunshine Olympics

In the museum’s new permanent exhibition, the story of the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm is brought to life. The exhibition recreates the festive atmosphere of that summer and invites visitors to try several Olympic disciplines themselves – from diving off a 10 metre platform, pistol shooting with the Carlberg twins, to timing the 100 metre final. Inspired by the architecture of Stockholm Stadium, the exhibition explores what visitors from near and far could experience in Stockholm at the time.
