The Smashing Pumpkins

Smashing Pumpkins Billy Corgan, guitarist James Iha, bassist D'arcy Wretzky and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin formed in 1988 the band that became the biggest standard bearer of the indie sound. The band became one of the most influential groups of the 1990s, their debut album, Gish, was released in 1991, but it was with Siamese Dream (1993) that Smashing Pumpkins really broke through.
