The house is haunted. The empty rocking chair rocks and doors slam. It has just been a funeral when the daughter and son-in-law return from their honeymoon. But the large inheritance promised by the mother to the son-in-law turns out to be debts instead. In the chiffonier's secret compartment is found a letter from the dead father. The letter is hidden, rediscovered, and finally torn up. When all the lies are eventually exposed, the broken family is driven inexorably towards their doom. The performance is in Swedish.
