The Extraordinary History of Circus

The Extraordinary History of Circus is an odyssey through triumph and hardship, from the punk-inspired birth of contemporary circus in the 1990s, to the 1970s circus era with elephants and the “greatest possible silence,” and further back to the emergence of modern circus in 18th-century Paris. The performance tells a story of curiosity and of continuously pushing and challenging human capability — all in the name of entertaining an audience.
