The Dance

Ivan Vyrypaev, born in 1974 in Irkutsk, has written a rare and beautiful play that explores the conditions of human existence, happiness, and misery. Life is pitted against death, provocative political comments replace worn-out declarations of love, and profound philosophical reasoning is mixed with the most banal and pretentious statements. The dance was written in 2010. The dance will premiere at Teater Galeasen on May 2 and will be performed there throughout the month.
