Stockholm Soul: Elias

On the latest album "Holy, Endlessly, Sad, Love", the soul star Elias draws more on Nick Cave than on the Tensta Gospel Choir where he was schooled at a young age. The album, which he mostly wrote with the pianist and composer Teodor Wolgers, also smells of Swedish jazz a la Jan Johansson. Elias concert is part of the festival Stockholm Soul, running November 23-26.
