The performance "She Dreamt of Being Washed Away to The Coast" weaves together Baltic folklore with the universal human experience, exploring the tension between two worlds: one grounded in logic and materiality, the other shaped by imagination and belief. At its heart is a contemporary retelling of the legend of the sea goddess Jūratė and the fisherman Kastytis – a love destined to be lost. Lukas Karvelis (born 1997) is a Lithuanian dance artist based in Amsterdam.
