Staples Jr. Singers are among the vanguard of 1970s soul gospel artists. They broke with tradition, and were inspired by the secular music pouring out of the radio. The mix of testimony and raw soul proved both spiritually uplifting and a winning concept. God loves the groove! Forty years and countless performances later, the original members of the Staples Jr. Singers are still active, performing almost every weekend in local churches around the American Bible Belt.
