So Close, Away is a dance work about the presence and absence of loved ones, and how those feelings live in the body. It looks at grief not just as loss, but as something shaped by memory, distance, and time. Through fragments of flashbacks, three childhood friends’ bond shifts and changes. Drawing on HipHop, the piece weaves set group patterns with moments of improvisation, leaving space for raw, unpredictable emotion.
