Raoul Wallenberg Day

Raoul Wallenberg's actions during World War II were unique. Through civil courage and humanity, he saved tens of thousands of Jews from the Holocaust. As a Swedish diplomat, he made a difference by issuing protective passports and establishing so-called Swedish houses. On August 27, Raoul's name day, we honor the memory of Raoul and his humanitarian achievements. Raoul Wallenberg Day is Sweden's national day for civil courage and humanity.
