Metaphoric Objects

Inspired by Kandinsky’s color compositions and Magritte’s visual poetry, David Martin explores juggling as a musical and visual language of color, form, and movement. In fragments and sequences, he winks at 18th-century circus horses and seals as the animal kingdom’s best jugglers – and dreams of new circus traditions. Using plywood, cardboard, napkin confetti, and duct tape, David creates a do-it-yourself circus.
