Reopening of "Medieval Fashion" - The Swedish History Museum

Discover the development of fashion from the 11th to the 16th century in the exhibition Medieval Fashion at the Swedish History Museum, produced in collaboration with the Medieval Museum. The exhibition shows newly sewn women's costumes based on medieval art and archaeological finds. At the reopening on November 19, 2025, four new costumes will be added that illustrate the change in fashion over time.

The reopening will be celebrated with a panel discussion led by Henrik Summanen from the Swedish National Heritage Board, together with the Medieval Museum's seamstress Åsa Dahlstedt and Maria Neijman from Historical Textiles. The new costumes in the exhibition will then be presented.
