Medieval Christmas

A show for adults in the Black Friars' monastery's shelter about, and if so, how, Christmas was celebrated in the city. Under the Black Friars' vault from the 14th century, you will hear about the saints of Christmas: Saint Nicholas, Saint Lucy and Saint Anne, the mother of Mary. Hear about Christmas bread, Christmas beer and the important fish that was eaten during the December fast right up until Christmas morning.
