MALIK

MALIK is a modern jazz quartet that captures the listener's interest immediately. The compositions, written by band leader and saxophonist Sofia Ahnfelt, give a lot of space to honest dialogue between alto sax and electric guitar. The quartet creates an unconventional soundscape on the young Swedish jazz scene, where the songs' highly structured arrangements meet present improvisations, which draw the listener into a pulsating and relaxed feeling.
