Folk Music from Finland

I Fäälan is a trio: Kenneth Nordman (fiddle, key harp), Mats Granfors (fiddle) and Tom Forsman (guitar, lute). ”I fäälan” means ”to travel”.

The minuet has survived in the southmost parts of Ostrobothnia as well as in other parts of the Swedish speaking west coast of Finland, while it has disappeared almost completely in the other Nordic countries.
