Cosmic Ear

Goran Kajfeš and Mats Gustafsson turn their cosmic ear inward, outward, and forward – towards a spiritual improvised music with a new supergroup. Their repertoire blends original works with music by Don Cherry, Codona, and Frank Lowe, drawing on influences from Malian hunter’s music, gnawa, Swedish folk, and free jazz. The result is a contemporary sonic landscape centered around donso ngoni, pocket trumpet, contrabass clarinet, live electronics, and bass.
