Asteroid defence: can we defend Earth?

On 13 April 2029, the asteroid Apophis will pass closer to Earth than our geostationary satellites. It will not hit us, but the encounter offers a rare rehearsal for the day an asteroid may actually be on a collision course. In Wisdome Stockholm, space scientist Stas Barabash and journalist Marcus Pettersson take us on a visual journey exploring Apophis, ESA’s Ramses mission and the question of how humanity could defend Earth from a future asteroid impact.
