Animals in War + Conversation

“Animals in War” is a Ukrainian fiction anthology of 7 short films based on real wartime stories. Created by Ukrainian and international filmmakers and produced by Oleh Kokhan, it places animals at the center—living beings who suffer alongside humans during Russia’s invasion. One story features Sean Penn as a sound producer witnessing the war’s start. Filming took place in Ukraine and the USA, with around 500 filmmakers; the soundtrack includes Imagine Dragons.
