First opened in 1913, Zita is Stockholm's oldest movie theater still in operation. During the course of its history, it's been a silent movie theater, a part of the once-mighty RI-movie empire, and an adult movie theater. Today it primarily offers a program of independent and world cinema, and once every year it screens Swedish classics with English subtitles. Zita also houses Bongo Bar, where you can grab a drink or meal before or after your movie.",

"text": "At its peak in 1946, Stockholm had around 110 movie theaters in the city and several more in the surrounding suburbs. Today those numbers have dwindled down to around 20 in the whole Stockholm-area, mostly multiplexes. There are a few single-screen theaters left though, one of them being Tellus in Midsommarkransen. Run by a local culture society, Tellus has shown movies on a regular basis since 1920. You can still catch a movie Wednesday, Thursday or Sunday. Or if you're not in the mood, maybe just grab a coffee and a fika at the café.",
