The essence of Swedish fashion is simple, wearable looks with a high trend factor and at reasonable prices. The fact that fashion is one of the most popular forms of contemporary cultural expression is obvious in Stockholm’s prime fashion shopping districts.
Lovers of luxury, flair and fashion feel right at home in the glamorous Östermalm district. The best Swedish brands are gathered with their own flagship stores in the area surrounding Biblioteksgatan, known as Bibliotekstan. The crown jewel is the original flag ship store of the Swedish success story Acne.
The city district, called Norrmalm, has several H&M stores, among them their other brands; Monki, COS and And Other Stories. The department store Åhlens City has a great selection of Swedish fashion brands. Södermalm has a laid-back atmosphere, many small, independent boutiques, many of which are selling high quality vintage fashion.
