Christmas buffet on Strömma boats

Christmas market in the Old Town (Gamla stan)
For a genuine Stockholm Christmas, the Old Town’s Christmas market is a must. This market has been held in Stortorget since 1915, and the little red stalls sell warm “glögg”, gingerbread, cheese, candy and craft.

Christmas market at Skansen
Skansen celebrates all traditional Swedish festivals and Christmas is no exception. Visit the annual Christmas market. Buy delicious treats or beautiful Christmas gifts, and music and carols spread Christmas cheer. Open every Sat and Sun from 1st Advent and four weekends forward. www.skansen.se
Christmas concerts at Stockholm's churches
Uplifting, religious Christmas music presented by some of Stockholm’s best known church musicians and choirs. A Christmas highlight.

Lucia at Skansen
Lucia, queen of the light, is crowned according to tradition at Skansen. On Lucia Day, the Lucia procession goes around Skansen and sings for visitors. You can also hear historical stories about why Lucia is celebrated in Sweden.

Lucia concerts at Stockholm's churches
Choirs light up the winter darkness with Lucia songs and music. The majestic acoustics and flickering candles create a wonderful atmosphere.
