Our exceptional archipelago consists of 30,000 islands, islets, and skerries containing unique flora and fauna. The Swedish Archipelago Foundation helps keep everything in order.
More than 40 supervisors live in the archipelago working with sanitation and conservation. The Archipelago Foundation also owns more than a thousand low-standard buildings.
Archipelago guides (Skärgårdsguider) undergo comprehensive training by the Archipelago Foundation and are certified by the Stockholm Visitors Board.
